      Son of Conrad and Elizabeth Huffines Tickle, and husband of Permelia Cobb Tickle. He also had a daughter, Rebecca.

      He was wounded in the Battle of Gettysburg on July 2, 1863, and died later at Jackson Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on April 25, 1865. He is interred in Soldiers Section W, #608, Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.
